Dh and I would love take a trip before our boys come. I don't feel comfortable leaving the country and would like to be near a good hospital. How late in your pregnancy would you travel? Any recs for a trip location? We are not really into traditional vacations but we love great food and maybe spa. Thanks for any advice!

I would go ASAP.  I felt great until 24/25w, then I got uncomfortable.  GL.

I traveled up the coast 8 hours (driving) at 20w and that was a disaster.  I ended up in the Er with kidney issues.  Plus all those hours in the car at 20w pregnant was no fun in itself.  I would go ASAP.

Ditto PP.  ASAP.  We were scheduled to go to Vegas at 22 wk... I ended up in the hospital for PTL mere hours before our flight... and stayed there for the next 12 weeks!

I think it depends on how your pg progresses. I had an uncomplicated pg so at 20 weeks, DH and I did a babymoon on an island off of Portugal (we were living in the UK at the time so it wasn't that far of a plane ride--maybe 4 hours?)

I was soooo glad we went! We just relaxed the entire week. My MFM wanted me to be done traveling internationally via plane by 24 weeks so I'm glad I had this last trip. I just got him to check me out prior to the trip, had copies of my records on hand in the event of an emergency, and called to make sure the resort had a hospital nearby.
