I had some spotting/bleeding around 16 weeks. Bright red, lasted about an hour and went into the dr just to make sure everything was ok which it was. I never had it happen again BUT if it had, and if it only lasted an hour or so and went completely away and I had NO other symptoms, I wouldn't have called. If any other symptoms like cramping or anything else, I would have called to get checked out just to be safe.
My bleeding, ...was like a huge period... .it was Scary!! all bleeding is scary.... i was even passing tissue. I ended up having a SCH. Sub-chorionic hematoma. I did call...and the OB on call brushed it off and said..."oh, put your feet up".
I called at 7 am for my regular OB, and she sono'd me and found the SCH. So always trust your gut. GL!
TTC for 12 years. m/c 2009.
BFP on New Year's 2010.
I did, my doctor told me to always call and never assume anything. She would rather have me checked out even if it is nothing just to be on the safe side. That is what they are there for. Bleeding is not normal but can be common in twin pregnancies. It can be from a number of thingst, not all bad either. Sometimes something as simple as rest would help resolve it...
Re: If you had spotting and bleeding during pregnancy
I called the two times I had real, red bleeding. After an episode of bleeding, if I had spotting that was brown or dark red, I didn't call.
Sorry you are going through this!

I had some spotting at 14 weeks on a Sunday night. OB on call sent me to l&d and everything was fine.
Had similiar spotting yesterday and a little today...although less than when I went to l&d. No cramps or pain.
I know I will call my OB just to let her know but since I'm not having period blood or bright red I didnt know if I should be calling EVERY time!
