Name #1 - I am named after my two grandfathers, so I would like to
continue the tradition if I have a daughter and name her after my father
and my FIL (David and John)
Name #2 - Rae is family name and I would want to keep the spelling. [Poll]

I don't really like either but Raegan if I had to pick (I do like Regan but I understand your spell change). Daveigh Chase is the name of an actress who was on Big Love so I know it isn't unheard of, but I am not a fan.

Honestly, Raegan will be perceived as Reagan misspelled. Davie is a nn for a boy. They are both really horrible.
I understand wanting to honor your family, and I love traditions, but I don't think either name works. There are other ways to honor your family than to saddle your daughter with an name that is not only unattractive, but will be a big PITA for the rest of her life.
Would you be open to using similar, but feminine, names? Or using a name that has the same meaning?
I like Raegan (however you choose to spell it). I went to school with a girl named Davida (Duh-vee-da) who was named after her dad David. Have you considered similar "Dav..." names like this or Davina?

I chose Raegan, but if you had Davida Jane as a choice, I sure would have voted for that! Would you consider Davida (duh-VEE-da) as a name? Maybe nn Vida or Davie like you have there.
I actually plan on naming my baby Davie Mae (Mae is my middle name) if it is a girl. I think it is a great name and super cute. My name is Cameron so I really like boys names that can also be girls. Plus, I am a "Tomboy" and and sure any girl of mine would probably be raised similar. I think it is different and the world needs different. I say if you like the name go with it.
Re: Family Girl Names - Davie/Raegan (Poll)
Of your choices, I chose Reagan because when I say "Davie" I think "Davy Crockett".
Very cool you are named after your grandfathers. Such an interesting tradition!
Raegan Jane.
Really not a fan of Davie for a girl (it's my brother's name). That said, I think John is easier to feminize (Johanna, Jeanne, etc).

(I hate Raegan btw. Davida is way prettier.)

I am not a huge fan of Davida because of the pronunciation issues. However, I would be open to other Dav- options and other Davie spellings.
The only other ones I know of are Davina and Davinia, which are both very pretty IMO.
