Flip Inserts are 'stuck'

Hi ladies!

This is another post and Q in my saga of prepping my stash for baby...

We have 2 dryer balls and are using them but our inserts are getting 'stuck' to the walls of our dryer.

We do not have anything fancy at all just a regular white dryer ... however they are sticking to the sides and not drying (im talking about like over 2 hrs on high).

Do they have to be 'totally' dry to put them in another hot wash prep cycle?

I tried putting a towel in with them and that seemed to help but what do you do? Does anyone else have this problem?

I am also concerned about when we are going to wash every other day ... seems like a long time to wait for a dry cycle?...

Re: Flip Inserts are 'stuck'

  • Have you ever used fabric softener in that dryer?

I would just let them air dry overnight, but it is weird, because I've never had that problem, but my Flips are stay dry, and I'm assuming yours are organic.

  • I use both the organic and stay dry.  It usually takes two hours (two cycles) on low heat for the organic cotton ones to dry in my dryer.  I also put a dry towel in there with them, make sure the lint trap is totally clear, and make sure they are unfolded when you add them to the dryer.  I have an electric dryer as well, maybe if you have a gas dryer it will take longer?

  • you may just not have enough in the dryer.  I have found that just a few things take forever.  Add a couple of towels.  They don't have to be totally dry to rewash for prepping.

  • The towel seems to have done it! Mine are the stay dry as well ... I think they were not getting enough movement ... on my last prep load now! Thanks for the info!
