I'm on a spring cleaning rampage this morning and attempting to get the gunk off the ceiling of our microwave (which is mounted, so it makes it even more challenging...)
I followed these steps and while it helped a little, not a ton... any other tips?
Re: Cleaning Microwaves
This worked like a charm on our microwave...
Clean the microwave by mixing 1/2 cup white distilled vinegar and 1/2 cup water in a microwave-safe bowl. Bring it to a rolling boil inside the microwave. Baked-on food will be loosened, and odors will disappear. Wipe clean.
This worked amazingly well and was essentially effortless, no scrubbing required:
I don't remeber the exact dimensionsbut you should be able to use google to get them.
I used a shallow pyrex dish, cut up a lemon and put slices of lemo in water in the dish an microwaved for a few (#?) minutes. Used a paper towel and wiped down the inside and crusted on stuff wiped right off.
