Well, my plan was to tire him out at Gymboree this morning so he could nap and we could go to a party from 2-4. But looks like it's no nap today either, he's yawning and tired but REFUSES to nap. So let him stay in the crib for an hour, I need to get ready. If he's not going to sleep, that's his problem. Hopefully he'll perk up when he goes to the party and naps afterwards. This is so strange, he was such a good napper up til last Sunday!

Re: Day 2 of nap strike
Ugh! I have no advice! I hope A sleeps for you soon.
Aaron basically gives me 1 of 3 scenarios:
1. Morning nap from 10 - 12 and no afternoon nap
2. One nap from 12 - 1:30/2 pm
3. Early nap from 9:30 - 11:30 and Late nap from 3:30 - 4:30
Mostly he goes with options 1 or 2. If option 1 happens, he'll occasionally give me a late nap (around 3:30 or so) OR he'll just rest/play in his crib for 45 minutes.
He sleeps at night from around 8:15 until 6:30 or 7 am most of the time. He averages 10-11 hours of sleep.

Well, the days he didn't nap he went to bed early, around 8, and slept 11 hrs straight. So I can't complain b/c last night especially, I got in a really good night's sleep for myself! And with my bad allergies, I needed it.
Today, I thought he was going on day 3 of nap strike but he finally fell asleep after 1.5 hrs of banging around in his crib. When I went in to put a blankie on him I noticed he has poop in his diaper, poor thing! That's probably why he wasn't falling asleep quicker. But I can't wake him up now, he has tough skin so hopefully he won't get a rash while he naps. Bad mama!
Ugggh, car naps are usually my answer to that. Maddie will do this on occassion, and I am always nervous that it's the beginning of the end, but so far she has only done it a couple of days in a row.
Usually, I have found that she is cutting a tooth or stretching to reach some milestone (mental or physical).
