I am going to start couch to 5k after my 6 week apt. I need to buy new gym shoes. I have bought walking shoes at Bob Ronkers before but I'm not sure if they are worth the money. Will I do just as well buying a pair of nikes (what ronkers sold me) at Dicks and saving some money? I also need to get a decent sports bra. Any recommendations for one that can tame the BFing bewbies?

Re: Runners
To be honest with you I don't like NIke's for running. I tend to stick with Asics or Saucony, but that's a personal preference. And yes you can certainly get your shoes somewhere else and save a bit of money I would just make sure that you are going with the type of shoe that Ronkers fitted you for.
And for the BF bewbies I always made sure that I pumped or fed right before going on a run so I was not full. I also felt like I needed to wear 2 sports bras in order to tame the bouncing. It hurt to run with only one bra. I usually just get the C9 brand from Target.
I did the two sports bras thing, too, and I also really like the C9 bras that Target carries. They're reasonably priced, too.
I don't think it matters where you actually buy your shoes, but I would definitely visit a place like Ronkers to see what kind of shoe you should be wearing. I bought a pair there and will just buy the same pair online from here on out. You can do some serious damage with the wrong pair of shoes, and they have a nice selection of widths. I didn't even know I had wider feet until I got properly sized. I couldn't figure out why my arches were bothering me so much.
