bamboo velour vs bamboo fleece?

I forgot to specify on my BSRB order...which one do you think?  DS is prone to yeast, so I'm thinking fleece?

ETA:  I got 2 diapers today, so I could also do one of each?

Re: bamboo velour vs bamboo fleece?

  • Only microfleece is stay dry.  Hemp and bamboo fleece are not (they are often used in soaker layers and the hidden layer in fitteds.  The bamboo velour is a soft, silky feel, while the bamboo fleece is more nubby, but still soft and can be put against the skin too.

Velour is the most common in a layer next to baby's skin.

  • I'm pretty sure microfleece is stay-dry because it's made of synthetic materials, not because it's fleece.  It's going to behave very, very differently in a diaper than natural, absorbent materials like bamboo fleece are.  I have a tendency to forget this and think "stay dry barrier" whenever someone mentions fleece, and that's not true (case in point: the bamboo fleece inserts I made work great).
