I let him try some on a cracker last night and he had a horrible reaction! Broke out all around his mouth, his whole face, and had little blotches on his chest. His eyes looked blood shot he was rubbing them so much!
Scared me half to death - gave him benedryl immediately and called the Pediatrician.
Pediatrician saw him this morning and wrote us a prescrip for an epi-pen to keep on hand. His breathing was fine.
Same thing happened when he tried scrambled eggs a few months back.
Oh well - little man will just have to miss out on those two things for awhile!
Re: Peanut Butter was a bad idea :(
Oh I'm sorry to hear this. I still haven't really given A peanut butter yet.
I hope he starts to feel better soon.

Our pedi gave us the go-ahead for peanut butter for Ava on Monday--I am scared to try it.
Oh man, I am so sorry!
For people that haven't tried yet... our Pedi told us to try putting food that may cause an allergic reastion on LOs skin first. Kids that are highly allergic don't need to injest it to have a reaction. If the skin doesn't react, then we can try eatting.
Since I am allergic to strawberries they want us to do that before we introduce strawberries.
Our ped. said to wait until he's 2 to try it again, but thats interesting to test it out on his skin first. I will keep that in mind.
