so just met with HR and yes, she needs to go. She's finishing up an assignment right now, which she should be done with by the time we get through with the paperwork. So yeah...have to act like everything's fine and dandy for another week. Ugh.

The first time I had to fire an employye I went in the ladies room and cried when I was done.  It does get easier every time though.

gah!  Makes you want to check ALL the things she's done to see if she's plagerized anything else!  What a tool. Seriously.  WHO does that!!!

I know! I mean, she really did bring it upon herself. It's verbatim from the first sentence. She did throw in some new stuff, but there's NO denying it's copied.

The good news is we've been trying to find a replacement for another position in our editorial department, and last week we narrowed it down to two people. So if the backup is interested, I'll have someone ready to come in without having to go through the hassle of interviews and stuff.

No one here can just wrap their heads around the stupidity of this. And it's not like we're some rinky-dink magazine, either. We're the friggin leading one in our industry! I just hope this doesn't become an even bigger issue.
