I know there's overload of CD questions on here but I haven't asked about it yet.
Don't the poopy diapers gross you out? I have been on the fence with CDing but I just don't know if i can stomach it, esp when she starts on solids. How do you deal?
Poop grosses me out too but for some reason it's different because it's my child's poop, KWIM?
I havent started CD yet so I can't speak for the poop, but I swear just because stuff is my child's it does not gross me out. Case in point: Ryan literally threw up in my mouth (we were playing and I was holding him over my head-he puked) and I just spit it out and was like, meh whatever. Yet I can't even share a toothbrush with my dh?!
I think I'll do fine with the poop.

do you clean it off in the toilet? It doesn't gross you out more that he has started on solids?
Yep we just spray it off in the toilet. Honestly it grossed me out more before he was on solids. When he was just getting BM he shiit himself like 6x a day. Now he goes once in the morning and is good to go.

haha, I guess I know what you mean. I do fine with washing it out of her clothes but my main concern is she's not on solids yet and I get nervous that it's just going to get worse. For something to be such an expensive investment I want to make sure it's not a mistake.

Not at all. If anything, I'm totally intrigued by DS's poop, especially since we've started BLW and there are chunks of tomato and cucumber seeds. I know it sounds gross, and it kinda is, but it's also super interesting when he poops. I play the game "what will I find today" as I'm unstuffing his diaper and tossing it in the wash.
bay isn't on solids yet so i can't speak to that but i'm actually proud of how well i've done with poopy diapers so far. i don't do well with poop in general, no matter whose it is, but somehow i've managed. i actually think it's just as easy as it would be with disposables, though, i don't think that factors in.

OMG this girl will sometimes poop, I'll change her diaper then 20 minutes later she'll go again. I like the idea of saving money, which would be my main reason.
My 1 1/2 year old nephew has some fierce diapers, which also makes me think twice about it.

LOL That is amazing, I inspect her diaper bc I was finding these little gel-like crystals in her diaper. Come to find out by her pedi that it's from her diaper. My girlfriend was over when I saw one and she was mortified to see me inspecting it! haha
If you are worried about the investment do the Jillian's Drawers trial and order your diapers from there, they have a 30 day money back program. Honestly the EBF poops get tossed straight in the washer and I just add a rinse in the beginning.

Yeah, I was absolutely fine with the poop, until he was about 2, when it increased a LOT in volume (he was going just once a day at that point so it was consolidated). At that oint I got tired of scraping it into the toilet every night...

The poop really doesn't bother me. We use disposable liners, so when there's poop I just pick up the liner and flush it.
I'm thinking, errr hoping, that when he starts solids it will actually be less gross.
