How many weeks were you when you delivered your twins?

Did you go into labor on your own or was it scheduled/induced?  If so, how many weeks? Did you have any problems before labor or for you to be induced? 

 My doctor won't schedule my c-section until I am 39 weeks. I am praying I won't go that long.   He estimates that I will have them before 36 weeks are up.  I hope he is right.

I made it until my scheduled c section at 38 w 6 d.  I like to say that I made it 39 weeks!  I did have one pre-term labor scare at 25 weeks but it was easily stopped and I didn't have any issues after that. I was a scheduled c section because my OB wouldn't allow a VBAC with twins.

I was induced at 38w1d.  No problems prior.  My doctor scheduled my induction for a day that he was on call at the hospital.

It seems like A LOT of people make it to 38 weeks.  I am impressed. I am so over being pregnant right now.  i know it is best for the babies but I don't know if I can take this much longer. My carpal tunnel is killing me and I can barely walk without feeling discomfort.

PTL scare at 30 weeks.  They were SURE the babies were coming.  After meds and 3 days in the hospital I was sent home.  I had a c scheduled for 38 weeks.  I went for a checkup 4 days early and they decided to take me that day b/c they thought i may go into labor.

simple answer - 37.5 weeks!

I haven't delivered yet myself, but what I would give to make it to 39 weeks! I've been on hospital bedrest counting the hours & days for 5 weeks now, hoping to make it to 30. Both girls were head down until yesterday when one flipped breach So unfortunately if they come soon we'll be preparing for a section as well. Anything for healthy babies though!

My Dr. scheduled my c-section for exactly 37 weeks- but she told me that I wouldn't last that long.  I had preeclampsia that quickIy got more severe- so I had my boys at 34 wks 3 days when I started having headaches, dangerously high BPs and visual distrubances.

Cs scheduled for 38 weeks. Short cervix dx at 26 weeks. 9 weeks of bedrest before I developed cholestasis and pre-e. Cs at 34w6d.

I delivered 4 hours short of 35 wks.  I woke up that morning and took my toddler to school, came home and laid back down in bed which, was VERY unlike me.  I went back to sleep and woke at noon.   I didn't have any pain just a little cramping in my hips and down the front of my thighs.

I decided to call the dr just to be on the safe side....I really wasn't alarmed at all-just wanted a few comforting words from my OB.

They asked me to come in (my dr was OOT).  When they put me on the NST I was having regular contractions and didn't even realize it.

They decided to deliver that evening because I had already had a section and they didn't want me to rupture internally and cause any bleeding. 

All was okay.  The babies spent two weeks in the NICU and a bit behind in their milestones but, that's to be expected....

My doctor's office schedules twins at 38 weeks so I had my csection scheduled (babies were breech/transverse), but at 36w4d they decided to do the csection due to IUGR. We didn't have any NICU time and both babies went home with me 4 days later. It probably helped that I had received steroid injections at 32 weeks when they thought they were going to have to take them then due to the IUGR issues. I know if they hadn't of taken me when they did, I would have went the full 38 weeks, I had had absolutely no signs of babies coming any earlier than that, I probably only had maybe a couple braxton hicks if that!

The waiting is the hardest part, but especially with twins waiting is the best thing for them!

I delivered at 36 weeks and 2 days. I went into labor on my own. My scheduled c-section was for 38 weeks. I did however, go into pre-term labor at 32 weeks and was put on mess to calm contractions and made it for 4 more weeks! No way I could have held them in there for 38 weeks, they were each a little over 6 lbs.

Csection was scheduled for 38wks, but had an emergency C at 35.5 wks due to preE.

My water broke at home at 28weeks 6days. They tried to stop my labor with mag and antibiotics. They were hoping I'd make it 4-5 weeks on complete hospital bedrest. I kept getting contractions and was in full blown labor and ended up with a c section at 30weeks 1day. I didn't have one problem and was never thinned or dilated up until that point! Luckily I was able to get all my steroid shot in before they came! Best of luck!

I have had contractions every day since about 16 weeks.  They don't really progress and my doctor is aware of it.  I just have this strong feeling that they won't come until 39 weeks.   My daughter didn't come until 40 weeks, 3 days.  Even then I had to have pitocin to get things moving and ended up with an emergency c-section due to her size.

I was induced at 38w2d--my peri practice schedules inductions for 38w, or as soon as possible after. I was originally scheduled for 38w exactly but then it was delayed a day because the hospital was swamped, and then I requested that we delay another day because of physician preference. Induction took a while, and I delivered at 38w3d.

I made it to my induction at 38 weeks and I was very happy to have been able to carry them that long.  I know it sucks right now, but it is all worth it in the end

Made it to my scheduled c/s at 38 weeks 1 day.  My OB wouldn't schedule a c/s prior to 38 weeks.

I made it to my scheduled csection at 37 weeks 4days, that was closet to 38weeks that my Doctor was on call.

I never had any contractions sometimes wish I would have felt something , DH wanted me to go into labor like night before csection just for some excitement but that didnt happen. I am always curious at how long I would have carried them. I honestly thing I would have made 40 weeks.

I had my DDs at 37w 1d via emergency c due to pre-e, my scheduled c was for 38w 6d. I had elevated BP starting at 24 weeks but no other complications.

I made it to my scheduled c/s at 37w 3d.  I orginially had it scheduled for a week later, but we pushed it back due to low fluid around Baby A and hightened blood pressure for the first time.  Essentially, my doctor felt we were waiting for something bad to happen by waiting the extra week, so we went ahead.

My water broke on its own at 35 weeks exactly, and my twins were born a few hours later. We had a bit of warning though as I was 100% effaced the week before.

I went into PTL at 29 and 32 weeks. At 32 weeks I was 4 cm dilated. I went into labor at 38 weeks, when my water broke. The doctors never thought I would make it that long and neither did I. But I'm so thankful I did, our babies came out healthy and were able to come straight home with us.

32w 6d - I had gone into labor twice before and it had been stopped. The last time there was a whole other host of medical issues going on with the babies (placenta failing) so they were delivered by csection.

I went in for an u/s and they suspected TTTS so I was induced that day at 37 weeks 3 days.

I had my girls at 36w1d. I had a scheduled section for 37wks because from wk 25 i was getting really bad BH contrax. I had gone to the hospital 4 times within the last couple months for them to monitor the babies. I got the steroid injections at 35 wks, just in case i went into labor. At my last hospital visit he checked me and i was laready 1cm dialated. I was only 35wk6d. He told me to come int he next day and we would have the babies. He decided this because in his opinion, the babies were ok to come out, plus im really petite, so the BH contrax acted up whenever i even moved so he didnt want to risk me to go into labor since one was always head up.Thankfully, my girls came sept.23 (the next day) and Isabela was 5lbs 7oz. and Lily was 4lbs. 4oz. They both only had 1 day of NICU and it was just to monitor them-- precautionary, they said. I have hope your birth story can go just as well or even better! Good luck and put your feet up! :-)

As someone who had them before 36 weeks, it's not something I would "hope" for anyone.  (Althought I certainly understand the feeling at the time.)  Keep them cooking!

I had a c/s at 34w5d due to suspected IUGR.  It turned out to be mostly a false alarm, but I'm glad they were cautious.

I was induced at 36w6d for mild pre-e, delivered at 37 weeks exactly. Had I not developed the pre-e, I would have easily made it another 2 weeks. GL!

I was hospitalized at 26 weeks, 31 weeks, 36 weeks for PTL and finally delivered at 37 weeks.  I went in for my weekly appt and mentioned I wasn't feeling well.  I was sent to the hospital for bloodwork and eneded up having an emergency C-sec do to HELLP Syndrome.

Scheduled to induce at 38 weeks, but ended up being induced at 35 weeks due to pre-e and partial HELLP syndrome... I was progressing on my own though, when I left the Dr. office to go the the hospital I was 1-2 cm 50% and a few hours later at the hospital before the induction started I was 3-4cm 80%..So I probably would have went on my own sometime that week, but my blood platelets were dangerously low... Had baby A vaginally and baby B by emergency c-section due to prolapsed chord...

I am in the hospital on bedrest for a shortening cervix! I have been here 2 weeks, and I am almost 30 weeks with identical twins. My goal is 36 weeks, so 6 more weeks! I haven't been crazy bored yet, but I can only imagine the next 6 weeks! How did you do it??

My girls were born at 31 weeks after 2 weeks of home bedrest then 5 more weeks of hospital bedrest.

I went on bedrest at 28 weeks due to my cervix shortening. I went into PTL at 29w6d. I had them at 30 weeks exactly, so you've already passed me up. I wish I could've lasted til I was 39 weeks! NICU time sucked. Good luck and HTH!

My water broke at 37w1d.  I had a PTL scare at 29wks & was on bedrest/having contractions/on terbutaline until 37wks.  I went off the meds on Wednesday and my water broke Friday moring.  I had a scheduled c-section for the following Tuesday but we didn't quite make it.

I had a scheduled c-section at 38 weeks.  No complications while pregnant, but at the end I was feeling pretty miserable!

I wasn't feeling well and went to L&D.  About 5 hours later the girls were born by emergency c-section.  I developed HELLP syndrome.  Up until that point I had a pretty easy pregnancy. The girls were delivered at 33w 4 days.
