Seriously? Wash the Flip cover 6 times?

Newb here ... The back of my flip package has a sticker on it (maybe from the store?) that says to prewash the flip diaper cover separately 6 times before using. For real? I was going to wash the organic cotton inserts that many times, but the cover?

PUL doesn't need to be prepped, and that's all the flip cover it. But the inserts definitely need the 6 washes.
