Beach at 8 months.

We are taking the twins and our 7 year old DD to the beach the end of May. We booked it for right after school gets out so it wouldn't be sooo hot yet. We booked a first floor condo and will be there 7 nights. We are super excited!

I wanted to know what should we take for the beach and pool for twins at 8 months.Thanks ladies!

    Definitely sunscreen :) and I kept a sun hat on my son the whole time. If you're going to take them in/near the water either one of the swimsuits with a built in floatation device or lifevests.

    They make some awesome beach tent/shades for kids that are SPF 75 or something like that and are great for getting some quiet time.

    Beach blankets/towels to sit on. I avoided the chairs because my son at that age would be likely to pinch his fingers in the metal hinges, but that's a possibility too if you want one for yourself.

    A cooler and either lots of ice packs or buy ice for milk/formula.

    For the pool theyd probably have fun on a float of some kind!

    My boys will be 7.5mo when we go for our annual vacation.  I'm stocking up on SPF bathing suits, rash guard shirts, bucket hats, and even sunglasses (got them on babysteals yesterday).  By then, they will be able to wear sunblock, which I've heard Blue Lizard is awesome... and doctor said no aerosol type of sunblock.  We already have (gifts) their water floats, which have canopies.  We plan on purchasing a tent to have a lot of shade (we go with several families, so we line up a few tents and all share.  Large blanket for them to sit, play, nap.  Their own towels.  Swim diapers (either disposable, or reusable).

    we went at 5 months & at 10 months.  At 10 months, we had sunscreen, hats, a little beach tent, and we went to the dollar store once we got to the beach and bought a little hard plastic pool (I think it was like $5) and it was perfect to put by our beach chairs. We put some water in it (from the ocean) and had a few toys in there.  It definitely kept their attention!!!  Have fun!!!
