No Pants Party

Landon has learned how to take his pants off...and I seriously cannot keep them on. Part of the issue is that he's so skinny that they start to fall off him when he stands up, and part of the issue is that he enjoys being a brat. He is so tall that we need the bigger size so he doesn't look like a bozo in manpri pants.

Any ideas that don't include duck tape would be greatly appreciated.

Re: No Pants Party

  • Crazy 8 makes pants with the hidden adjustable waist so you can get the bigger size for length, but still make the waist smaller for him.  Maybe try there.  Gap also makes them, but I think theirs start at like 2T sizes.  I got Gabe some at Crazy 8 as small as 6-12mo size.

  • I think overalls are the cutest solution! I haven't looked for them in baby sizes in years, but I remember getting some for DD from Old Navy, Gap, and I believe Sears (Levi's brand). They are great until potty training begins.

  • overalls?  DD used to do that so I'd put her in dresses.  Doesn't help you much.  Wink

  • I have no idea what it is called but I know there is a product that cinches the waist. I've seen it on babysteals....Maybe google???

  • Target's Cherokee brand jeans and pants have adjustable waists, I think as young as btwn 9-12mo. Also, my parents buy "slims" for our son who has the same issue with pants. I know they've bought several pairs of Levi's jean shorts and jeans from Macys, and they ordered Wrangler jeans online somewhere (I feared they'd be a little too "cowboy" when I was told they were ordered, but they fit great and he's not been able to destroy them in the mud/dirt outside). HTH, I know what a pain it is. For a while, we just got used to having a no-pants kid running around and hoped the neighbors didn't care when he was in the bay window in just a diaper and shirt ;)
  • I forgot to add in my earlier post: I asked a while back on the toddler board for where to buy a belt that I saw online somewhere that velcroed on the front but left the pant snap/zipper area belt free for easy potty training. Someone gave me these links:

But, if you google "toddler belt" there are several sites with directions for making D-ring belts and places to order regular/traditional belts. My mom made our DS a D-ring belt, but now that he's potty training, we're looking for a hassle-free option to keep up the couple pairs of pants he has that aren't adjustable at the waist.
