Anyone TIRED again?

I don't know if I am still recovering from dst or what, but I have had several times where I could hardly keep my eyes open the last few days. DS gets up at 6 am no matter what time he goes to sleep, and while it is not like he is getting up at 4 am or anything I have had such a hard time with it this week. I need to just make myself go to bed earlier I guess.

Why did I volunteer to have a newborn baby in the house again? :)  DS never slept through the night until 10 months, so I am wondering how I am going to survive the 6am wake up call after being up all night with a baby. I am not likely to have many napping chances.

Parenting mantra: It is all temporary....It is all temporary....

Thanks for reading my whine.

Re: Anyone TIRED again?

  • I have def. had the exhaustion come back this week and my m/s never went away so I missed that great 2nd Tri people always talk about!

  • ugh, YES. First tri, exhaustion and mood swings were my only preg. symptoms.. I had hoped it would still be a while before I started to get tired again.. Alas, I am taking naps everyday... again.  :(

  • Nothing as bad as when I was in first tri, but there are days here and there that waves of exhaustion come. DST is sooooo hard to adjust to this time of year. I'm surprised it didnt trick your DS though. My daughter is actually sleeping later thankfully. Hope your body adjusts soon.

  • I feel your pain. DS will sleep in but, that sleep when the baby sleeps stuff is a crock. You would never  get anything done. I am hoping there will be some time in the first few months that they both nap at the same time.

I haven't been sleeping well on my own lately.

  • I could barely read DS his books last night and definitely didn't make it through the 10:00 news! I was wondering if I was alone or if it truly only was DST.

I have been repeating very similar to myself as well. It's just a short period of time. You can do anything for a period of timing knowing it will end. :)

  • I can't sleep to save my life. I am getting about 4 hours each night and a nap in the afternoon.  I use to be able to sleep 9 hours straight, so this is a big change for me.

  • YOU ARE NOT ALONE!! This daylight saving time thing has got me all messed up! I have to wake up @ 5:45am Mon-Fri and it seems like Saturday will never be here! I have practicalyy fallen asleep plenty of times while at work (but I dont really sleep). Spring break has us really slow since everyone's on vacation. This tiredness thing comes in waves. You'll continue to get it throughout the remainder of your pregnancy and you'll need it!
  • The exhaustion never left for me!  I am sooo tired all the time.  And to top it off, I am out of breath most of the time, too--even if I'm just standing still.  So just trying to breathe makes me feel even more tired.  I had to call out from work yesterday just to get some energy back.

  • I thought I was imagining it!!! It's only started in the past 2-3 days, but I'm dragging every day at work. My temper has been super short too. I've been getting a solid 7-8 hrs of sleep each night, but it just doesn't seem to be enough. I thought working out more would help, but no dice.

  • I haven't NOT been tired yet this pregnancy :)

  • I've never really been NOT tired in my life. But the last couple weeks I've been dragging...

Not motivated to do ANYTHING, wanting a nap constantly...

I did wake up bright and cheerful Monday morning, but after that and before that I'm ready for bed by 7pm - as soon as my fanny hits the couch after a day at work. And I could sleep all day if it was socially acceptable.

  • I've been feeling more tired/sleepy lately, but I've been blaming it on DST.  I'm definitely not as exhausted as I was in 1st tri, but I am back to taking daily naps Smile.
