who's rented a u-haul before?

Yep, you guessed it, we're moving!

 

I heard something about lots of moving and delivery trucks/vans having bedbugs... if they do, how do I clean the moving truck before I put our stuff in there, or should I borrow a truck from my parents?  (it would take us probably 7 or 8 trips, in that case, easily, at 6 hours round trip without loading/unloading time added in.)

I used one whenI moved from Iowa.  It was okay, no bed bugs.  Our issue was it was sooooo cold (middle of January) and we had issues with getting the thing started and heating up.

We've rented one the last 2 times we've moved and never had a problem with bed bugs. Good luck on your move!

i have rented a few U-hauls in my lifetime and have never had an issue with bedbugs.

I just layed a couple of old sheets down and put all the furniture on the old sheets.

I'm not sure that I have any other option... we live in such a secluded area... maybe I should look up others, just to double check..

I recommend Penske.  We've used them a few times, and they even met U-haul.s quote one time (were cheaper the other times anyway) and gave free us a free day b/c the pick-up location was closed the day we needed the truck.  Their trucks are typically nicer than U-haul, which we've used, too.  Plus, we've moved to/from some pretty remote locales.
