What do you think of this name?
Someone at my church just had a little girl and named her this(not sure of spelling), and i'm playing around on nameberry and "Maisie" is in the "Today's most popular names" section...
It's cute, but can you see it on an adult? I can't..
Re: Maisie/Maisey?
2012
I know two dogs with this name. So to me it is a doggie name too.
it's not cute for a child or an adult.
agreed.
My father had a Great Aunt Maisie and I know two people with children named Maisie BUT...
it's my dog's name. She's a super cute pup if that helps.
I don't like it. I wouldn't pick any name that doesn't sound good on an adult.

I love Maisie. I disagree it doesn't age well, but I guess everyone has their opinions
I don't see any difference really in "age appropriateness" from Sadie, which often is called an "old lady" name, or even Molly, for that matter. Lots of dogs have those names too.
Maisie started as a nickname for Margaret but I think it works as a stand alone name as well. Just as Sadie and Molly have become accepted stand alone names, I hope this one does as well. It has more spunk and uniqueness to it!

Kinda reminds me of:
1. The pepper spray us ladies carry around in our purses at night.
2. Corn.
