Baby Names

Jerry and Gerry...

Brothers I have in my office. Serious did their mom have no time to grab a Daniel or Luke or something?

Re: Jerry and Gerry...

  • That's what I thought when watching the Biggest Loser. Twins Don and Dan. I know their names are probably Donald and Daniel but their parents had to have known they'd go by Don and Dan.

  • What makes it worse is that these are two of my least favorite names for men. Lol. (I know, the world doesn't really revolve around me). As a twin myself, I have to say this honestly is a horrid name combo.
  • 2 Questions:

    Do they have full names?

How do they distinguish themselves from the other?

  • A good family friends name is Gerry- pronounced Gary and he had a brother named Jerry who passed so thats why his mother named him Gerry. I think thats nice, but strange too. Maybe Id do it as a middle name but I wouldnt want my child who had passed to have almost the same name as my other son, I think that would be tough.

  • They sound like the same name! I know a Jerry and a Gerry, not related in any way. But they are both pronounced-Jerry. I heard about two sisters today at work, I don't think they are twins. But their names are Angel and Misty, while these names are not similar sounding....I did think strippers!

  • Aren't they the same name? I'm confused. That is how I would pronounce them. Or is Gerry supposed to be pronounced like Gary? The Gerrys I've known/seen pronounce it like Jerry.

    That's terrible.

These are their full names. I have their drivers licenses. We have to ask them what their wife's name is because they both have a strong accent and it's hard to understand what they are saying.
