I'm sorry, I know that people ask questions about spotting all the time, but I'm seriously going nuts. I haven't had much at all except maybe some very, very pale pink when I wiped last weekend a couple times. But just now, I went to the bathroom and it was brighter red. I heard that straining to go poo can cause you to burst little blood vessles which will then cause spotting...
I have my first OB appointment tomorrow morning, but I need some reassurance. Has this happened to anyone else? There's no clots or anything like that which I already know is the biggest problem when it comes to spotting, it was just so unexpected and out of the blue! Does anyone know when spotting typically stops during a normal pregnancy? Thanks!
Re: I know this gets asked a lot...
i would call your Dr's office and tell them that exact same thing...i had bleeding around 9 weeks, but it only lasted a short time. if your bleeding is getting heavier, i would call them. they might try and get you in earlier!
good luck!
Seeing any blood is scary - but it's also very very common. The good news is that you see your Dr tomorrow and hopefully get some reassurance.
And thanks for "straining to go poo" because that made me chuckle a bit. I have the sense of humor of a 13 year old boy.

I was told by an ER doctor that it's not bleeding that typically concerns her bc she's had patients who have bled through their entire pregnancy. Severe cramping is what makes her concerned for a mc. In my case, (I miscarried) there was very intense cramping, to the point where I literally could not stand up straight when I was experiencing one. It was as painful as I imagine labor will be. And as far as bleeding, for me I never had spotting (which I've heard can be kind of common and harmless) I started out trickling bright red blood, which eventually turned to more of a gush. I'm not trying to freak you out - just thought maybe hearing what my miscarriage was like would put your mind at ease because it sounds so different from what you're experiencing.
I would definitely mention it to your doctor tomorrow, but try not to get yourself too worried. I know it's hard ((hugs))

@Dana
Thank you for sharing your information. I've had a very small bit of cramping around where I think my right ovary would be but nothing intense. Not even the same intensity as period cramps. Its just worries me as I'm sure it does a lot of people. I will call the Doctors office but you guys are right, its probably nothing to worry about so much.
