Any suggestions for where to get a deal or instructions to build your own? It's impossible for me to get things done in the kitchen because DS wants in on the action, so he cries to be picked up. He's happy if I put him in his high chair and scoot him up to the counter, but he still tries to reach things and can't.
Re: learning tower
i've found some just through google, but i know someone on here made one and the instructions (not sure if they were free or not) weren't quite right... something like they needed an extra piece of wood that wasn't in the instructions.
i would kill for one of these, though i'm too lazy to make one myself :-(
I got instructions on ebay for 99 cents...but FIL hasn't made it yet, so I have no idea if there's a piece missing or something.
I believe a few of the ladies on here have used this tutorial:

no friggin way! THANK YOU!
My dad built us this one in about 2 hours and $30. Julia uses it several times a day. Some days she refuses to sit at the table for meals, so she just eats in her tower at the counter. I love the thing!
Oooh, I'll cross my fingers for you! That's a steal!!
Yayayay! It sounds a bit over-dramatic, but your life will never be the same.
At that age, I wouldn't have been comfortable with DS in a learning tower. Maybe closer to age 2. I used to just carry him on my back in a SSC so he could still be part of the action but not right in the way.
I've debated getting one, but I really don't have the room in my kitchen.
