Mimi/Marcheline

what do you guys think of the name marcheline?  i would love to use the nn 'mimi' (a family name) if we have a girl but have struggled to find a formal "m" name.  thanks!!

I googled other people named Mimi and these are their 'real' names...

 

Miriam, Marion, Mary, Marie, Emilia, 

 

Marie seems to be the most common using Mimi as a nn...

I'm not really seeing Mimi from Marcheline. I like both names though.

In my culture, Mimi and Mima are terms of endearment, so you can use them for any name out there (like calling someone "Sweetheart" or "Angel").

I can't see how you are getting Mimi from Marcheline...And I don't like the name Marcheline at all.

In response to pps.. Mimi is often a nn for any french name beginning with M.   I love Mimi but not a fan of most french names beginning with M. 

Thanks for the suggested alternatives, especially Marceline, I love this name!
