What do you think of when you hear the name Tyler?

I think of one of the sweetest most adorable little boys I had in a 3rd grade classroom a couple of years ago.  I LOOOVE this name. I would name my child this (after said student-yes, he was THAT awesome) but our last name ends in -er so the repitition (sp?) bothers me...

I know it's popular but i still think Tyler is a soap star name! My friend from work named her little guy Tyler and he adorable....about 2.5 now.

We're 99% sure this little guy will be Tyler.  Our last name ends in -er but the two sound different enough not to sound repetitive.  

If we go with Tyler it'll be Tyler Michael, after my brother.

Honestly, I think it's super boring and too common. That being said I also think it is a strong classic name.

i love the name tyler, is classic but its still popular. if i hadnt of dated a guy named tyler i would conciser it...

DH and I both love the name Tyler, but we won't use it due to knowing someone with that name.

I used to like Tyler, but then I watched the show V where Tyler is the most annoying character on the face of the planet, so that kind of ruined it for me.
