Would you do this alone

A friend invited me and the girls to this concert event for the LO's Sat night.  It is dinner and then the show.  It is at a childrens playhouse.  DH is working but I would love to take the girls because I think they would enjoy it.  However, I am a little nervous about taking them myself and trying to watch both of them and not chase them.  I am sure my friend would totally help me out if I needed it but I am still nervous.  I dont want to bring the stroller because there is no room inside and I would have to leave it outside which I really dont want to do. 

My girls are almost 21 mths.  So, would you go?

What is the time of the show?  Are they going to be cranky and you are setting yourself up for a disaster?

The show is from 6-6:45 and dinner would be before.  So it is before bedtime and I dont think they would be cranky at all.  I really think they would enjoy the music and honestly they only want me anymore anyway and would probably both sit on my lap.  I guess I just need some reassurance that I could totally do this alone.

You can do it alone!!

I think being out around lots of other people/kids and having events that your LOs can participate in (eating dinner, watching a show) they'll do great! Plus, don't feel bad if you do end up having to ask your friend for a hand with the kids...I'm sure she wouldn't mind!

I'd probably give it a go.  (Coming from a mom of one 16 month old right now LOL)  I tend to go out of my comfort zone if I think it's something my kiddo would really enjoy.  Good luck!

I think you could do it!! Just make sure you have an easy out if you need to leave early.

i'd go. you can totally do this! i traveled cross country by myself with them and after that i swear anything can be done. have fun!

I think I'd go.  Worse comes to worse, you could just leave early if they got fussy.

I say go!  One of my 2011 initiatives was to let the boys see the world more.  It's too easy for us to leave them home.  They were getting to the age where they were missing out because it was inconvenient for us.  I'd go so many more places if I only had one, and I didn't think that was fair.

Yup. Especially if you trust your friend and she is helpful. My friends are great with the twins and I'd pretty much do anything/go anywhere with them.

Thanks ladies!  I decided to take the girls.  I called last night for tickets and am looking forward to going.  Definitley something different and fun.
