Is this an "alternate" spelling to Anjuli? I worked with a girl from India with this name and always thought it was pretty, but likely wouldn't consider it since it's a traditional Indian name.

My m/w has this name, and it is spelled Anjli, and I think could be spelled Anjali. I think it is traditionally an Indian name.

The more I looked into it I saw that it was Indian, but I actually met a woman from France with this name...

I went to HS with a girl named Anjuli and then my cousin had his daughter and named her Anjali.

When I say it out loud, it almost sounds like Evangeline, but with out the EV. Maybe Evangeline would be a good alternative?

It's an Indian name, which means any variations in spelling are a result of the transliteration. Most often, however, I see it spelled Anjali.
