He probably is referring to the gestational sacs, if you have two placentas. If you were dealing with one placenta, he would be talking about the amniotic sacs.

Thanks for the info!! Yeah, the babies each have their I own placentas.
My dr also said that it looked like the babies were in seperate sacs. But he said they could still be identical. i assumed sacs, but I am planning on asking if that means placentas too.. or if they cant find that out till later (like the 20 week u/s)

I'm sure your doctor meant they had separate placentas. If you see the di/di illustration, it says there is a 1:9 chance they are identical. That's probably what your doctor meant.

I'm sure your doctor meant they had separate placentas. If you see the di/di illustration, it says there is a 1:9 chance they are identical. That's probably what your doctor meant.
