Need help with middle name...

My husband and I really like the name Samantha, but are struggling with middle name...I really liked Catherine (my late aunt), but I'm thinking that it is too long especially since Samantha is a long name...

 

Any suggestions??

I agree that Catherine is too long.  What about Cate or Kate?

I agree with pp, Samantha Kate/Cate is nice and still has the family connection.

Although, unless you plan on calling her by her first and middle name, I don't think Samantha Catherine is bad at all.

My first thought was Samantha Cate/Kate

 ~ it is a sweet way to honor your aunt without being too cumbersome....

That's only 5 syllables, all tolled. Unless you go with a 1 syllable middle name, everything else is going to be at least equally as long. 

I think Samantha Catherine is great, but if you think it's too long, Samantha Cate would work.
Other 1 syllable names I like:
Blythe
Paige
Eve
Tess
Kay (which can be a nickname for Catherine)
May/ Mae

I think Samantha Kate sounds great and still honors your aunt.  But if you want shorter you could do Jean/Jane, Paige, Mae...along the same vein, to me anyway.
