Formula Question

I BF my DD, and I am having my dad and stepmom watch her tomorrow night for about 5 hours, and so have frozen BM to give them(I will thaw it for them). I want to know if I should but a small can of formula to leave just in case the BM isn't good. If so, what kind? I am clueless when it comes to formula, so I don't know what is the basic and closest to BM. TIA

Re: Formula Question

  • I'd just buy one of those packages of pre-measured Enfamil. They each make like a 4oz bottle, and you'll have a few for emergency situations. Could you pump today/tomorrow and have fresh BM for her if you're worried about the frozen? Just wondering. GL

  • I don't think it really matters.  We have used Similac a few times at home.  Daycare had to use Parent's Choice one time and he drank it all up!

  • I could pump, but I have just now gotten her to wake once in the night, and am not longer leaking contantly, and I am afraid if I pump, I will start leaking all the time again. I will try and pump tonight, and see how much I get. And them I can do it all day tomorrow too. It may not make too much change, since it may just seem as if she is going through a growth spurt.
