Emergency US and Miracle

We have been trying to conceived for 11 months, got pregnant last August but miscarried early on. Got pregnant again on January and off course we are super scared and cautious. Last time we lost our baby it was after we had intercourse but both my doctor and FIL (he is a doctor too) reasurred us it had nothing to do with the intercourse and that we were going to miscarry anyway,

Sunday after DH beggin forever we had intercourse and then after that I went to the bathroom and a huge piece of tisue came out of me (like the last time), we panicked call my FIL he checks the tissue and say it looks like the embryonic sac and the fetus but that it look to be only like 5 weeks old. DH was more devastated than me (as hard as it sounds) and was just weeping. He is a morning person and Monday he was just crawl in a ball and told me he just wanted to stay home.

Monday morning my doctor order an emergency ultrasound. We got there thinking the worst when our baby (measuring a day ahead) is there moving and waving at us. Got to hear a strong heart beat (170) and everything looks good.

Both my Dr. and FIL think the tissue could be a twin that didn't make it, but I am just happy for the one we have, We are back on pelvic rest and praying for the best.

I'm glad you still have a child in the oven.  Is it possible you had twins and now are down to one?  Best of luck for a healthy and happy pregnancy.

Thanks everyone, I feel so much better that we saw the baby.

@ DiademChi, that is a strong possibilty. My Dr. did not get to see to whole thing because it was a mess by the time we made it in the office but my FIL believes it was a twin that died early on in the pregnancy. Regardless of what it was I am just happy we have one growing.

Thank God for answered prayers! That's really good news. I'm sorry for the loss of your baby twin, though. Thank goodness for a second healthy baby!

@ BostonGayG... FIL only examine the tissue, not me. He is in emergency and trauma so he has seen way too many women that are going through miscarriages. We would have another appt. next Tuesday and I am hoping the baby continues to grow
