IVF and new job?

Hey ladies!

Quick question: if you were starting a new job right about the same time you were beginning an IVF cycle, would you postpone it or go ahead as planned?

Hi there!   I was struggling with the same thing, but I decided on something different.  My DH got a new job and we recently moved from IL to Indy.  I knew that no matter what I wanted to do IVF again (and unfortunately again), so I put off getting a new job so I could keep working for my same employer in IL with IF coverage.  I'm an accountant and I'm still working for them from my new home thru 4/18... after that, they won't have enough to keep me busy full-time from home, so no job for me.  Originally I planned to start looking for a new job, but DH and I talked about it and agreed for me not to.  I'm doing IVF again right after 4/18 and needed to guarantee I could have the time off and if I found a new job right away, we couldn't guarantee that.  DH and I have agreed that if I get pregnant, I can be a SAHM.  Otherwise, if I don't get pregnant, I will begin looking for a new job, which hopefully, won't take too long.  Nothing, like putting all our eggs in one basket.... literally.

I woul dgo ahead iwth it.  I would tell the new employer that I had some prior obligations already planned prior to accepting the job and would need time off on those days (I've done that with every job I've ever taken and usually the "prior obligatin" has been a trip to Thailand or something!)
