1st Trimester

silly question..

so bump says im four weeks along, and parents.com says im about 7. where do they get this stuff? My last cycle was no where near normal, so I don't know what to say my cycle length would have been (other than i ovulated on CD 33). Is anyone well educated in due date estimation? Hmm

Re: silly question..

  • You have to give us your first day of your last period for us to give you any dates. Google "Due date calculator" and choose the first website that comes up. Put in your last menstrual cycle (first day of) and then it'll give you a due date and appx how far along you are.

It gives you the date that you'll be x-weeks along, so you'll know when that big ultrasound date is and you'll know if you need summer maternity clothes. :)

  • I thought that only worked if you had regular cycles.

  • You can try finding one that goes by the date you conceived if you are positive of when you conceived. Like this one...

It is really all guess work until you get your first u/s to give you a more accurate date.

  • Using your last period only works with a 28-day cycle with ovulation on day 14.

If you know your cycle (and it sounds like you do, since you think you ovulated on CD33) your ovulation date is 2 weeks 0 days and you can count from there.

This exactly. Count back how many weeks it has been since ovulation and add two weeks to that. That would be how many weeks along you are. That is what they will go by and that will give you the closest date to your actual due date.

That is the one I used and I love it!!!!

If you know the date you O'd then just count back 14 days and use that as your LMP and to calculate your EDD.  HTH.
