ok, its getting to me...

All the baby stuff and taking care of the kids while dh is at work until Midnight... its wearing on me! I made my dinner tonight and Xander started fussing. I fixed a plate (chicken parm) and went to sit down while holding him and it was just too hard to eat. So I asked my oldest to just put my dinner in the fridge so that I could eat it after I was done with the baby. That was at 6pm! The baby was super gassy today and a little fussy. He pooped the biggest poop ever... went through to his clothes and when I was taking off his tshirt, I got it in his hair so he needed a bath.

By the time I finished with the baby, got the older kids to bed and fed the baby again.... it was after 10pm. I was just thinking that I was hungry and went into the kitchen to find something quick to fix. I made some rice.... when I put the left over in the fridge, I saw my first dinner that I never got to eat.

BOOOOOO...... my brain is fried!

  • I just said to MH that I miss hot food. Mh lost his job (company closed)the day we came home from the hospital so I have help at home, but Lucas always wants to eat when dinner's ready.

  • Like pp, my DHis home but I still feel like you. You should feel good that you even got dinner made. There are many of nights that we get take out. I just can't seem to get it together. Between all the attention LO needs and my 2 older ones schedules, I feel totally frazzled sometimes. Just try and kee telling yourself, as he gets older, you will fall more into a routine and it DOES get easier.

  • I have a hard time trying to keep the house somewhat clean. I have clean laundry separated into piles on the living room floor (mine, kids, kitchen, linens) and the food... I don't even cook when DH is home. He knows for a while, this is how it's going to be. Until I start getting more sleep and getting more energy, he's the one who needs to make food.

You're lucky you remembered to eat. Yesterday I didn't get lunch, and the day before I forgot to eat dinner. DH made food I couldn't eat anyway, but I was nursing the baby and then she was fussy and I couldn't put her down, and then I just forgot. I didn't realize til 2am that I didn't get dinner. Yesterday I was lucky it was lunch I skipped, because when I met up with a friend for sushi I got my fill of awesome food.
