My camera was lost/stolen last weekend (we really have no clue what happened to it), which gave us the opportunity to get a DSLR. We love Canon, and were pretty set on getting a Canon T2i, but I found a tip on the photography board here that Target was clearancing the T1i's (the T3i just came out). It was on clearance for $549 and since it was the last one at the store (the floor model) it was 30% more off. So I got a really kickass entry level DSLR for $411! It has 720p HD recording as well and came with a kit lens. They also had the Canon XS on clearance for 3-something. If you can find one and are in the market for a DSLR I would jump on this. I'm thrilled with it's performance already!

HTH someone!

Re: NCDR but awesome DSLR deal
DH is in love with the T2i but would take the T1i (as e really doesn't need the video option.
Shhhhhhhhh. Maybe I'll sneek a peek when I'm there.
Just check online. Most were out of stock. We have 4 Targets nearby and one had "Limited Availability". This was the one that just had the floor model left.
The T1i does have video too. The T1i is 15 mp and the T2i is 18. You really don't need more than 10 mps unless you're seriously cropping and blowing up your pictures. I think the sensors are the same. Save yourself $400 bucks and spend it on some good glass instead!
