? about First Response Early Response

Hi ladies,

I ovluated last Thursday and will be leaving for vacation with my husband this Thursday.  I would be thrilled if I could test Thursday or at least some time before we come back home on Monday (although it's not guaranteed that it will be positive).  My question for you all is how soon post ovulation did you get a positive using this test?

I used a first response early response and a clear blue digital. I'm not sure of my ovulation - but I was only with my husband from Feb.18-21 and had a positive on Feb. 28.  So anywhere from 7-10 days.

I don't chart but I was 9 days past my expected ovulation date.

I tested neg. On an internet cheapie at 8 DPO (wasn't first morning urine). I had a faint line on it the next morning at 9 DPO. I went an bought a FR test that same morning and got a positive faint line! GL!!!!

I didn't test with FRER until 10 dpo, after getting a positive with a Answer Brand test strip (which was just the same as an internet cheapie).

I'd say bring one along with you on your trip and try to wait a couple days.  It may be too early to get a positive.

i didnt get a positive until 18 dpo!

i took one at 14 and it was negative!

I found out I was pregnant at 8dpo with an IC, but I tested with a FRER the next day at 9dpo and the line showed up right away, and was dark enough to see without trying hard.

I got my BFP 13 DPO.  I got 5 BFN's before the positives.  I did have really weird cramping on Monday the 7th, which I think was implantation cramping and finally got the positive on Saturday afternoon.  I think implantation has the most to do with getting a positive.  I read that it takes 2 to 4 days after implantation for the HCG to be strong enough for the test to pick up.

10 DPO but I didn't test with a FRER earlier than that so I'm not sure if it would have shown up earlier (I got a faint positive on an internet cheapie at 9DPO).

I haven't had my BFP yet, but as implantation doesn't start until 7-10 dpo, you should wait until at least then.  Even so, it might give you a false neg.  If you are charting or have a good idea of your luteal length, that will help you figure out when to test more accurately.

At 9dpo, the FRER was pos and the CBE digital was neg.  At 10dpo both were positive.

12 dpo, but didn't test earlier than that.  I did get a faint + on a dollar store test with DS at 10 dpo though.
