I gave my boss notice that I'm leaving to be a full-time mom. I can hardly believe it. I feel like I need to pinch myself. I know that this is what's right for our family, but I still feel mixed emotions. Mostly I am so incredibly excited to start this new adventure. I will return to work in a couple of years, but right now I can't wait to focus on my family.

I'm giving them time to hire my replacement, so I don't know when my last day will be yet. Also, this won't be facebook-friendly until after my last day.

You will never regret it! I've been at home now for a little over a year, and although the loss of an income is a little bit scary, you'll be amazed at what you really need, and what you thought you needed. There's always time to buy that new car, or upgrade your kitchen (wherever it is that you usually spend your money), but your little miracle will only be this age once. And how wonderful that you get to be the one to experience all the "firsts". Congrats!
