This will be round 2 for me on these boards! We just found out on Friday we are expecting again. Due in November and we are very excited. I was wondering how many of you 2nd time moms don't mind if DH comes to the first appointment. DH was at our son's first appt but this time he has ZERO time off work. I was wondering if you really thought it was a big deal seeing as it was your second time around?

First of all, congrats!!!  About the appointment, DH is coming to mine, but only because I am having an ultrasound because I am considered high risk due to my history of miscarriages. If I weren't having the ultrasound I would give him a pass.  Life gets hectic these days and if my mom weren't around he would probably have to hang with DS anyway.

I don't know if DH will be going to the first appt or not. If he can get off work, he'll go, if not, I'm not going to stress about it. I was very adament about it the first time around.

Thanks for the congrats! Ok good. I do wish he was there but don't want him to get in trouble at work for it. They will print a picture of the sono and it will be ok. So glad to be back on the Tri boards. I missed being pregnant a lot!

I don't know if DF will be there for the first one or not, I was pretty adamant about him being there for almost all of them last time, and I will want him to be there for the majority of them for sure, but I think the first one I can do without him. Once we start hearing the heartbeat and do ultrasounds though I will request him to be there if possible!
