Do both of your cars hold all your kids? We have a highlander and a corolla currently and only the highlander can fit the three carseats. The corolla has one carseat in it that fits for DD1. I am wondering how long we will last with only one car that holds all of the kids. I know I will get a minivan when we trade in the corolla, I am just not sure when it will be. So far we have not run into any issues with the one car, but I am still on leave. Just wondering your experiences and if you needed two cars that accomidate the whole family.
Re: Car?
We have my old Maxima (which barely holds the two carseats and no latch!) and the minivan. It works for us.
Basically if we are taking the kids, it's the van. If I'm running out alone, it's the car. So it's becoming less of his and her cars, more like with kids or without kids cars.

Obviously I don't know from experience, but DH and I decided that we would need two cars that could carry 2 infant seats from the beggining. When I do go back to work, one of us will be dropping them off at daycare and other picking them up. We work in the same town, but this will be easier than trying to swap cars. So I'd say it really depends on your situation. Will the same person always be dropping off and picking up the kids on a given day? Or will you have to swap vehicles to make it work?
