Back Pains Already?!

Ok, so my lower back, left side, practically on my butt, has been killing me. It's like a nerve is kicking. My leg will even go out on me sometimes. I could not sleep last night because the pain was so bad. It has been bothering me for a while now, but now it's getting worse. Is anyone else dealing with this???

Re: Back Pains Already?!

  • YES YES YES! I am 2 weeks behind you and I have been dealing with it for about 3 weeks.  I went to tie my shoes yesterday and almost fell over it felt like i was being stabbed in the lower back and butt.  I am having a terrible time sleeping.  Right now I have DH rubbing my lower back every day.  We have an appt tomorrow i am going to see what they say.

  • I've been dealing with this pain since 10 weeks along.  It's called sciatica... the doctor told me that my body is growing in weird directions therefore sometimes there is pressure on your sciatic nerve and well... it causes that nasty pain.

Mine got so bad that I couldn't even stretch, sit dow to pee, walk... ANYTHING.  It brought me to tears, so I would take a warm bath (not hot because it can cause inflammation), and afterwords I would try to stretch a little and then lay with an ice pack on my back.  Personally, I wouldn't even bother with tylenol, because what you need is an anti-inflammatory and well we can't have those! :/

-This is coming from someone from lots of back pain experience... I was hit by car 2 years ago.

This sounds right, I just could not possibly imagine having this much trouble this early on. I was going to ask my doc at the next appointment. Hopefully I will get used to it. :(

Yep - it's the sciatica.   Go see a chiropractor.  I am having issues, too and the chiro & acupuncturist definitely helps.

I have been walking around rubbing my butt saying "My a$$ hurts bad.  I have been calling it sciatica because thats was the only thing there that I could think of.....

  • It is sciatica!  Mine first started acting up with my first pregnancy.  It got better after I delivered but found myself pregnant just 3 months later.  After I delivered again, it only got slightly better.  This time it is horrible already!  I couldn't walk last week after giving the kids a bath.

    Yes  lmao

  • I have had back pain for almost 4 weeks if not longer....To the point of tears as well.  When I went to my midwife she said the only thing to get rid of the pain is to have the baby.  Yay....  She suggested prenatal yoga or pilates, and stretching might help but it hasn't really helped me.  Just know that I feel your pain.  It sucks!

YES! I have just started with a horrible back ache last week. It comes and goes, but I feel stupid limping around at work. I wish I could just take 412 Advil. Oh well! Heating pad here I come!!
