I had my heart set on buying THIS rug in runner size for our entry hallway, and the smaller rung for in front of our entry door. Now, I see there are a few reviews that say the material is not water safe, and wetness causes it to fade out. Defeats the whole purpose for an entryway rug. I am just wondering if anyone knows of a product that can be applied to prevent the problem. I am bummed.
Also, if you know who might have nice heavy runners and matching smaller rugs for a reasonable price, please tell me about them.
Re: NBR: Can you waterproof a rug?
Have you checked out Kohl's? My MIL just bought a runner and some matching rugs that look similar. I have no idea how 'heavy duty' they are, but it's their brand, and I know their towels/oven mitts have held up quite well.
If you find something you like, wait until they have one of their 15/20% off your whole purchase weekends...
I just looked at JC Penney and saw nothing. I was about to check Kohls too. Can you do that 15-20% thing without getting a credit card from them? I get all pissy that many of their sales are only if you use their credit card. If it is non credit card discount, how often do they have a sale like that?
I bought indoor/outdoor rugs for our hallway and entry in our old house. I got them at Ballard Designs and they were actually quite reasonable for the particular rugs I bought. You could also check Frontgate/Grandin Road/Ballard outlet in West Chester.
Ours are similar to this: https://www.ballarddesigns.com/seagrove-all-weather-indoor-2foutdoor-rug/10508. Entry mats are around 19/39 and runners are 49?
