DS is 3months & we are currently using AI2's during the day (best bottoms) and like them but there is no way they would hold him overnight w/o changing him. We have a couple AIOs (BG & GroVia) but they are still getting there 6 washes before use. DS is a fairly heavy wetter & DH is a SAHD who gets the morning diaper changes. DH would rather have AIO's or something similar where he is not touching the wet part of the diaper (its been a battle getting him to work with the AI2s). Just looking for suggestions for other methods or things to do with AIOs to get the most absorbency with not a ton of bulk. TIA
Re: Overnight suggestions
I have used BG AIOs successfully for overnight, but only by adding a hemp insert to the pocket. And if you did that, your H would have to touch the wet insert.
I've never tried a Grovia AIO overnight, so I can't speak to their success. I do plan to try it, though. If it doesn't work for you as is, you could try adding a grovia stay dry doubler and/or a grovia regular doubler. I'm planning to try the stay dry as soon as I get around to ordering a couple.
Another AIO you might try: BG elementals.
Also, there are a few pocket diapers that have both ends open, the point being that you don't have to remove the soggy insert before throwing the diaper into the wet bag, because the insert agitates out on its own. Smartipants, I believe, is one of them. With a pocket, you can customize your absorbency. That said, I hated Smartipants.
