What's the deal with Amazon ordering + coupons?

I keep trying to order a box of diapers and this is the error message I'm getting: 

We're sorry, but the promotional code you entered cannot be applied to this purchase. Please refer to your promotional coupon for information about item or store restrictions.

One is a $10 off coupon, one is a 20% off coupon.  Neither will work.  Help!

I believe they are only allowing people to use one set of coupons per account.  Just create a new account using a different email.

I think the diapers have to quality for the Amazon program too?

Try emailing them. I couldn't get the extra 10% for pampers wipes code to work so I emailed Amazon and they fixed it.

I 2nd the new account.  I also have better luck entering the $10 off coupon first, then the 20% off.
