Two Under 2

I need stroller help

DH and I were surprised to find out that we will be having LO #2 in late October/Early November. We were not expecting this at ALL since I had an IUD, but God obviously thinks we're ready so it's time to start planning. Other than clothes (since we don't know if it's a boy or girl yet) and an extra space saver high chair, we're pretty set on what we need.... except a stroller.

We live in a very rural area and I LOVE taking my LO out for a walk so we got a Baby Trend jogger stroller with the bicycle style wheels because they handle the terrain better. The problem I'm having now is that I can't find a double jogger with bike wheels for less than $500!!! Ideally I don't want to spend more than $200 maybe $250 if we have too... But I also need it to either be infant compatible or baby trend carseat compatible.

Does anyone have a stroller they can suggest or know of one that would work well for me? I'd really appreciate any help you have to offer.

Why not get the Baby Trend double jogger?  It isn't $500.  It's a humongous beast, so I wouldn't want to load it in and out of my car or push it around a mall all that often, but it seems like it would work for you (we have the single Expedition jogger and I loved it but after trying out the double decided it wasn't for me since I need mine to be a "car stroller" as well.)

  • I love our Baby Jogger City Mini double, but it's not actually a jogger and does not have bicycle style wheels. It's does handle really well, plus it's light and easy to fold so you wouldn't need a second stroller for in and out of the car.

The 2011 model is usually $430, but you can get a 2010 for about $380. I would highly suggest checking out consignment sales (they are popular here in the Spring). Keep a look out for a MoMs, or other multiples group, used item sale.

I've never seen a City Micro in person, but I've read about other bmpies who like it. I think the two differences are smaller shade and does not recline all the way flat. It's way cheaper though and is supposed to still handle well.
