Which car to buy?!? :)

I don't know how we will make a decision because the two we are looking at are so different!

I think we're deciding between a Subaru Impreza Outback Sport and a Toyota Prius. The Prius obviously gets much better gas mileage, but the Outback has AWD, a lot more features (like heated seats), is better looking, and is a little less expensive.

How the heck do we choose?

My hubby is a car person and says the Impreza.  Apparently it is quick, has great handling, good AWD for bad weather, and good room in the trunk.

We are actually selling his porsche boxster and he is considering the Subura Impreza (just the regular one) for himself as a replacement.

We love our Prius! The gas mileage is great, DH averages 50 mpg. With the price of gas going up, they will probably be harder to find soon. My mom bought hers when gas was pretty high and it took her quite a while to find one.

I'd personally go for the one that gives you more space.  I like having lots of room with kiddos.

Maybe I am weird but I hated driving the prius! I got one as a loaner once when my car was in for service at Toyota and I was just not impressed at all. It seemed really horrible from a stopped position and I felt like j was going to get popped if I pulled out of our street on to the highway. I have no experience with the Subaru. I would go with the Subaru just for the room alone but if gas mileage is important then obviously the prius is the way to go. Good luck with your decision.

Outback! I love love love my car, but sometimes I still wish I had gotten the Subaru, especially when it snows.

The Subaru. You need the space with kids, the gas mileage is still respectable, and the power and weather handling will be superior. 

And I am a Toyota loyalist so that should tell you something!

It's actually smaller than the normal Outback, so it is very comparable to the Prius, but I think we are going to go with that anyways.

We have a Jeep Grand Cherokee as well - so we will have the extra space in that car if we need it The power and weather handling will be way better in the Outback though!

Subaru!  I love mine (I have a 2011 Forester).  I saw the Impreza outback sport the other day and I really like the looks of it.

I have showed Finley pictures of both 3 different times, and every time he picks the Outback, lol! Think I should let my car decision rest in the hands of a 1 year old?!? HA!
