Left DD for the first time

Yesterday DH and I finally had our much-anticipated date. We left DD with my parents and she did fantastically.

I didn't find myself overwhelmed with worry about her either, which I was concerned about, maybe because she was with my mom and my mom is amazing with kids. I think I'll worry a little more when we leave her with my MIL. 

My mom didn't, however, put the frozen milk I sent along in the freezer - she put it in the fridge instead, so it is no good and DD didn't need it (just drank the fresh pumped I had sent). 4 ounces wasted - boo!

But I so needed the time with my DH. We went shopping for a new bedroom set, shopped for a new purse for me, went to an early dinner and caught a movie. It was so nice.

glad you got to get out. we went out two weeks ago (xander was about 5 weeks) and it was soooooo nice! we left all three kids with my brother and his girlfriend and i called home a few times but they were just fine.

now, who knows when it will happen again!
