Hi everyone!

Haven't been on in a very long time - hope everyone is doing well.  Life with triplets sure is a busy one!

I just had to share this comment with you guys.I was out with my trio yesterday, and this one lady does the stop and stare - then I get the "are they ALL yours!?" question. So I say "yes" - politely. She then asks "are they all the same age?", and I say "yes, they're triplets."  She then replies " Well you have 2 boys and a girl, so they're not actually triplets they're just brothers and sisters who share the same birth date. They can only be triplets if they're identical. Same with twins, if they're not identical then they're not actually twins."

I was like, ok??????????? So to all you MoMs who have fraternal twins/triplets they're not actually twins/triplets unless they're identical. 

Some people just blow my mind!!!!

WOW! Learn something new every day!! This story actually reminds me of one comment I got. The cashier @ Target looks at my 2 and says, "He's so much bigger than her...is he older?" I reply, "No - actually she is older but only by a minute." Then she says, "Well I guess they could be the same age..." I'm like What? No, I'm telling you they are the same age. It was like she was arguing with me! Then the conversation ends with her telling me her cousin had twins but they were born a week apart because, "The first one was born but then the other one wasn't coming yet so they sent her back home until she went into labor again." Oh, OK...

Where do people come up with these things?
I guess 2/3 of the board should take our fraternals and go home then, since they're not real twins/triplets.

Oh thank the heavens, they're not really twins!  Maybe now people will stop staring at us like the circus rolled into town every time we go anywhere!

DH's aunt had no idea that there was such a thing as fraternal anything.  She thought you could only have ID's.  I had to give her a bit of a science lesson.

So funny I got a simular comment at Target last month. The lady was like "oh so that is like brothers who just share the same birthday right?" in regards to fraternal.. my response was "yes otherwise known as twins". grrrr.

I'm not on much either anymore, but I had to say OMG!!!!  how crazy is she for even commenting like that? LMAO!  I love it when people know more than you, right?   remember, you're "just" their mom....ugh!  I simply would have walked away shaking my head.
