Upstate NY agency recs?

DH and I are zeroing in on Hillside (an agency in Rochester). We like them because they're a non-prof organization, and I've actually volunteered with them in the past. I like what they stand for in this community. That being said, we are definitely not the type of people to make a decision of this magnitude without investigating ALL of our options.  For those in western NY, are there other agencies we should look at? The idea of a for-profit agency concerns me, because I feel that perhaps our needs/best interests will not be the first priority for the agency (alongside the needs/best interests of the birth parents, of course). Also, is the fee for domestic infant adoption generally the same for all agencies?

Welcome to the board. I see honeydew sent you a PM. We are using the same agency, highly recommend.

Thanks :-) My one concern with that agency is that according to their website, their fee starts out about 4k more than the fee Hillside has in place for DIA. That fee is already too overwhelming for us to swallow, but we're gonna do everything we can to make it work. I am SAH right now, but given the financial restraints of an adoption, I've been looking for full time work but just cannot find anything in my area yet.
