  • What made you decide to spell Madelyn's middle name with an s instead of a z?

How did you come up with your Bump name?

    What's your favorite TV show?

  • How did you meet your H? What's a funny habit or mannerism you have? What's your least favorite food? If you were coming to a cookout at my house, what dish would you bring? Do you like other people's kids or just your own? If you could have any job regardless of money, experience or education what would it be and why?

Elisabeth is the German spelling. MIL and GMIL came to the US from Germany in search of MIL's father (long story). Anyway, Elizabeth was my favorite girls name, but DH vetoed it as a first name. MIL's mn is Elisabeth, so it worked out. Beansie is a NN my parents gave me. My name is Jillian and it's a version of Jillybean. Favorite show is Grey's Anatomy. Total guilty pleasure. At least 2 kids, up to four depending on money and my sanity. Sorry for no spaces/phone

  • What do you like the best about where you live? The price of real estate. It's ridiculous no matter what cuz it's Jersey, but things are cheaper "down south".

  • Have you ever been to Atlantic City and if so, what's your gambling game of choice? I go to Atlantic City almost every day. I work at the Tropicana running their special events. Before working at a casino I didn't have the gambling bug, but would modestly play slots. Knowing what I know now, I don't waste my money.

  • What's your favorite color? I am big on green.

  • If you could visit any place in the world, where would it be and why? Australia fascinates me. It is so far and so different from where I live now. And I love the accent.

  • What was your favorite vacation? Hands down, our honeymoon. Ireland, Germany and Austria. I am dying to go back.

  • What color eyes do you have?? How bout your SO?? Are they different or the same as your LOs? We both have brown, and DD is currently blue, but they are moving to gray. I will be seriously surprised if they don't turn to brown.

How did you meet your H?

We met in college - both music majors.  He's a music teacher on his way to becoming a principal.  I realized I didn't want to be a teacher and spent my first years out of school working in NYC in the music biz.

What's a funny habit or mannerism you have?

Before I write, I wiggle my hand slightly, like a warm up.  DH thinks it's hilarious.  I can't write one letter without warming up.

    What's your least favorite food?

I am a total foodie, hence why my hips are as big as they are (not considering baby).  There's not much I don't like - probably scallops.  They are slimy no matter how you cook them.

If you were coming to a cookout at my house, what dish would you bring?

My signature dish is chicken francese.  I have the BEST recipe.

Do you like other people's kids or just your own?

I love kids - but having my own is a whole new world.  As mentioned in an earlier post, I think other kids snot, drool, etc is gross, but not my DD's.

If you could have any job regardless of money, experience or education what would it be and why?

I am a grammar/sentence structure queen, and would love to be an author, but I'm not creative enough.

  • Omg I stutter write, too!!! Every time! And if people watch me I am barely able to write, it's super annoying! And you should share that recipe ;)

We knew we wanted and English Bull, and had the name picked out before we had the dog, but he lives up to the name perfectly.  We decided on Tater because when you pick up a bulldog puppy, they become a sack of potatoes in your arms.

  • All of our events are private, for selected casino patrons.  We do gift giveaways, parties, BJ and Slot tournaments and sweepstakes.  The job itself isn't bad, and there are some perks, but the schedule is rough, especially with a LO.

Where in NYC did you live?  I grew up in Bergen County, NJ and my first job out of college was in the city.  I miss it SOOOO much.

  • After 4 days in Ireland we flew into Munich and drove to Erlangen, my MIL's hometown.  Spent the weekend with familiy (we had met them before), then drove south to Neuschwanstein and into Salzburg, Austria.  On the way back we stopped at the Berchtesgaden (OMG AMAZING!!) and back to Munich for an unforgettable evening at the Hofbrauhaus before flying home.  I brought back my 1 liter souvenir stein.  I can't believe I drank 3 of them.

DH used to work in Erlangen!  And we happened to be around for Oktoberfest - OMG, how much fun.  But we went to the Hofbrauhaus.  I loved it.  I keep begging DH to go back - I totally want to wear a dirndl!

There is a restaurant/inn called the Barengarten.  That is where they lived and worked.  I would LOVE to go to Oktoberfest.  I felt a "special connection" to all the beer over there - my maiden name is Krug. =)

I just asked my husband about Barengarten.  He swears that he used to eat there because it was right around the corner from his office.  What a small world!

Totally!  This is what it looked like when we were there in July 07
