how long after c/s...

... did you get pregnant? did your dr say what amount of time is required (suggested?) to have a vbac after a c/s?

i just had my c/s and im already considering vbac for #2... just curious really.

i am pregnant going for a vbac in june and just had a c section in august and my doctor is fine with me trying for a vbac. that was one of the first things she said to me at my first appointment is that i could try for one although we talked about when i went for my six week appoint too. this bby was not planned at all he was a surprise but glad my doctor is supporting the idea of a vbac. hope i helped a little and gl

I got pregnant again right around my daughter's second birthday. This was partly because 2u2 terrified me, just from a parenting POV. I also needed time to make peace with my c/s before I was ready to go through another pregnancy and birth again. And I wanted to minimize any risks associated with VBAC and give people as few reasons as possible to try and tell me I needed a repeat cesarean.

My doctor said he'd like his patients to wait at least 1 year in between getting pregnant after a c-section for a VBAC

i've heard/read this before... that 1yr wait before getting pregnant again is best.

DD was 16 months when I got pregnant again. My doctor did not give me a time limit at all, that's just when I was able to get pregnant again. (I was/am still BFing her so that delayed things.)

I haven't asked about a v-bac yet, but my doc told me to wait a year before trying again anyway, so I can't imagine she would be open to a v-bac with anything less than that.
