How soon after m/c can we start another treatment cycle (IUI)?

Hello ladies,

I was 6 weeks PG after a good IUI cycle (with stims + trigger), and now sadly it's over.   

I'm not seeing my RE again for a week, and will ask him then, but I wonder how soon we can try again?  I am still bleeding (sorry, TMI), but since I don't ovulate/have periods on my own, do we still wait out the customary 1-2 cycles?   How do they determine that, if you don't get a period by yourself?

    my doc says 2 cycles after a miscarriage, but i'm sure each varies.  so sorry for your loss.  T&Ps to you.

    I only had to wait 1 cycle after my MC, but thats because it was taking so long for my beta to go to 0 and then I had to take Provera to get another period.  My body was so confused.  I was tired of waiting and asked if we could start early with IVF #2 and they said yes.  So, here we are on our second cycle.  History is in my siggy.  I'm so sorry for your loss, but hopefully you can cycle again soon!
    TTC since July 2009.
    MFI, Moving onto IVF-ICSI.
    IVF #1 = BFP - sadly a blighted ovum discovered at 7 wks.
    D+C 12/7/10.
    IVF#2 - ER 3/27. 8 fertilized. ET 4/1; transferred 2 blasts; 2 frosties (total of 3 now)
    Beta #1, 4/11 = 291! Beta#2, 4/18 = 2702. Beta #3, 4/25 = 17303.
    Ultrasound #1, 4/29 = 1 perfect baby and heartbeat!.
    7/21 = a/s! It's a boy!!
    Robert Lawrence was born on December 1st at 4:32 am weighing 6lb 3oz, 19.5 inches long and healthy as anything!!

    So sorry for your loss. I was told 1 cycle, but I gave myself a little longer.

    My RE didn't make us wait, bc they followed my betas down to zero.

    Did u have a D&C?  I could have gone right into another IVF, but personally chose to wait.

    My RE made us wait 1 cycle after our D&C (which never came since I don't get AF on my own). I ended up waiting 2 months.

    I have a friend who miscarried at 6 weeks and was able to go straight into another cycle and got another BFP. She was on Clomid only so she's another story.

    I am not sure how long you would have to wait but I am so sorry for your loss!  Hopefully next round will do the trick!

    I'm not sure for you since you don't ovulate on your own.  For me, I had a d&c and he wanted me to get a regular period once on my own before starting again. He allowed me on my second period to start my iui. It took me almost 60 days to get my first post d&c period.  The waiting was torture.  I am so sorry for your loss.

    IUI #5-7 w/injectables: Sept 2010-Jan 2011...BFFN
    IVF #1: Feb/March 2011...pretty please let this work!!!!

    We waited one cycle. My post-miscarriage cycle was anovulatory but I did start to bleed on my own after 5 weeks.
    IUIs #1-3 (1x unmedicated, 2x Clomid) = 2 BFNs, 1 m/c at 7w3d
    IUIs #4-6 (injects) = 3 BFNs
    IVF #1 = BFN
    FET #1 = BFN
    FET #2 = BFN
    IVF #2 = BFP, b/g twins lost at 20w due to partial abruption/PPROM
    IVF #3 = c/p 5w2d
    Long-shot Clomid/Prednisone cycle before next IVF = BFP, our beautiful, healthy girl born 6/26/13!
    ~~
    TTC again March 2014
    FET #3 - May/June 2014     -     all embryos arrested before xfer - back to the drawing board...
    IVF #4 - July/August 2014
