NT scan went great

I was so nervous beforehand but everything went great.  This is the first time I have seen the LO so it was so exciting to see everything.  The hb was 158 and the measurement was 1.2.  I still have to wait for the bloodwork but the tech said everything looked great.  I feel so much better now and am ready to actually 'tell' people now. 

And on a sidenote drinking 32 oz of water and not being able to go to the bathroom was absolutely horrible.

    That's awesome!! Must be so relieved : )
    Sidenote: I find it so bizarre that some people are required to drink water, not eat, etc.... While others are not. Ive never been told for any u/s with DS, or this baby to drink any amount of water.

    I heard someone else mention this about their NT. I didn't have to do that. I didn't empty my bladder before hand but I didn't really have to go, and it wasn't like it was uncomfortable throughout the procedure. I wonder about the differences?

    Anyway, congrats on a good NT scan!

    IM glad your scan went great! Now hopefully you can really start enjoying the pregnancy...I have a question about the NT scan...did you have any reasoning to get it (ie advanced age, hx of problems) I ask because I am having a hard time figuring out of my insurance will cover this or not if it is selective ( as I dont have any risk factors) IC wont give me a direct answer and Im so confused...just wondering if yours was selectiv and if ur insurance covered as medically necessary? TIA
